Beatriz "Bea" Alamo (pronounced BAY-ah) is an illustrator, designer, writer, doodler, & creator of sorts from St. Augustine, Florida. She received her B.F.A in Illustration with a minor in Creative Writing from Savannah College of Art & Design in March of 2015.

 

Bea likes to use Photoshop & Illustrator to portray cute things & feelings. She aims to weave stories that have the spotlight on characters that are out of the ordinary, underdogs or sidekicks to the proclaimed hero. Most of her inspiration is drawn from nostalgia, such as 90s cartoons, graphic novels & retro video games.

She also writes poetry, creative non-fiction, & fiction based on personal experience & with dark themes that counter her fun drawings entirely. However, she'd love to combine her illustrations with her writing one day.

 

Bea is available for creative work. She is currently based in Boston, Massachusetts with her husband & sweet dog.
